About Us

“The idea is to give foreigners in Germany the tools they need to successfully handle German bureaucracy & settling-in in their own language.”

The idea for this project came in 2013. Many of our international friends were moving to Germany at the time. They kept asking the same questions. They kept having the same problems. They all struggled, mainly because official forms and documents are only available in German. There are no English translations.

We understand and support the notion that people who move to Germany should try to learn German. Within the first few days of arriving that seems a bit much to expect though. Even though German is our mothertongue, We need to read carefully to understand some bureaucratic documents. So how can anyone expect non-native speakers to understand them?
